Now, despite the dead of winter cold, the prospect of summer was upon me with none other than this succulent grapefruit that I had with breakfast. (Side note: I really don't where this post is going... 3 of my roomies and I are currently all in Abigail's room. Let me break it down for you -- Jenn who had to work all night (she's a nurse...side note, this is a parenthesis within a parenthesis. Is that allowed?) is enjoying her sweatshirt blanket on Abigail's bed. "Don't you just LOVE sweatshirt blankets??" she questions. Liz is sitting Indian-style on the floor playing solitaire on her iphone. A site all too common in this smart phone era that we live in. Way to go, Liz, you follower of popular culture. And Abigail? I saved the best for last... she is currently on top of her desk stool, holding a sparkly-silver microphone (no clue where she got that) singing Christina Aquilera's 'Come on Over' while dancing seductively. And me....well, obviously I'm blogging. duh. Welcome to my life.)
Now. Grapefruits. So. Really I just love this picture. Love the household where I ate this victim of a grapefruit. Love that it reminded me of summer even though grapefruits are actually a winter fruit. I googled that. It makes sense if you think about it -- growing up, did you ever get those Harry and David fruit of the month gifts? Let me tell you what, my family certainly did. Such is the case when your dad's a pastor. Well, January was ALWAYS the grapefruit month. Like Celine, it's all coming back to me now.
Time to rumble. This means we are going to Whole Foods and Barnes & Noble. Living large on Saturday. I love these girls.
