Life Irony

"A rainy Friday is like a life irony." - Abianne Miller

Last weekend was ideal -- a balmy March Saturday full of pleasant surprises and the breaking out of summer skirts. Margaritas and walking through the throngs of fair-weather lovers in the Georgetown buzz. Crawling through impossibly small windows to watch the sunset on a friend's rooftop.

But today, not yet a week after that majestic Saturday, it is raining and apparently supposed to be 39 tonight with a chance of snow flurries. Excusez moi? God loves to mix things up -- I guess that is a good thing though. Keeps you on your toes. Or in your mittens.

Alas, I sit at my desk thinking "how can I lift my spirits today when it is oppressively gloomy outside?" My answer: Justin Bieber.

He's the 16-year-old Canadian who has stolen the hearts of every other 13-year-old girl on the planet. His dance moves are pretty epic. Abianne and I decided that from now on, we are only allowed to dance like Justin.

So here's to making Friday just that much brighter. Carpe Diem!
